SDG Trade Monitor to be launched on World Statistics Day

The International Trade Centre (ITC), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) will launch the SDG Trade Monitor (www.sdgtrade.org) , an online repository of trade indicators to provide users – policy makers, researchers, and any interested individuals - with a more extensive understanding of the relation between trade and development in the SDG agenda. The launch event will include a live demonstration will take place in Geneva, on Tuesday, 20 October 2020 at 10.00 a.m. to mark World Statistics Day and the launch of the Monitor. The SDG Trade Monitor is the product of a close collaboration between the International Trade Centre (ITC), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the World Trade Organization (WTO). The SDG Trade Monitor gathers information on the trade-related indicators under targets 2.b; 8.a; 10.a; 17.10.1; 17.11.1; and 17.12.1; as well as other pertinent information that would allow tracking progress in the achievement of the SDG targets.
