On the occasion of World Statistics Day, the European Central Bank published a blog by Isabel Schnabel, Member of the Executive Board of the ECB, entitled Don’t take it for granted: the value of high-quality data and statistics for the ECB’s policymaking. In the article, the importance of the independent statistics as necessary to safeguard the quality of statistics is emphasized. Quality data and statistics are essential to quality policy decisions. The article contained interactive visuals.
